Not only is it easy, but it really is delicious too.

Moist and flavourful.  It almost defies logic that something so simple could taste so nice.easy chocolate cake recipe

    Chocolate….
I am in my third trimester and grow faster than ever before and should really avoid such delicious goodness.
I really should not make this cake but I am going to go against my better judgement and do it for the kids. The last part is of the previous sentence is very questionable seeing how I can’t resist anything chocolate.
I like how easy this recipe is and that neat thermomix machine of yours is a must have.

Wow is that ever simple! Honestly I was looking to Find more steps, seeing if I.might have missed a step or two. Im going to have to give this recipe a try, seems like it would be delicious!
Also that mixer looks really good!! Is it really needed for this recipe though?

      Hi Jesse,

It really is that simple! No, you don’t specifically need the Thermomix for this recipe. If you chuck all your ingredients into any mixer, it will be just as effective.

You just miss out on the other abilities such as melting your butter, grating your chocolate, and melting your chocolate without having to use a bain marie method which I find incredibly tedious.

Let me know what you think of the cake!

      Thanks, Kris

Hi Kris, thanks for such an easy chocolate cake recipe – I must try it, because it really looks easy! I like the fact that you don’t have to use a chocolate in the sponge…melt the chocolate and mix with eggs etc, which often sounds too complicated, tricky and it puts me off from baking.

Whereas you use a real chocolate only as a ganache, and I do love dark chocolate, so I’ll try this exact recipe for this weekend. Thanks again for the great recipe!

    Hi Kris,

I too have a Thermomix so I’m looking forward to having a go at making this yummy looking cake.

It does feel a bit lazy though because the great gadget just does it all for you! I’ll let you know how I get on. What else do you use your Thermomix for?

Oh my goodness what don’t I use my Thermomix for?! Lol. The most consistent thing I make though has got to be yummy butter made from nothing but pure cream and olive oil to make it more spreadable. It’s my favourite. I cook dinner in it most nights, and I make ice-cream and smoothies regularly too. With kids at school they have always got fresh baked goodies in their lunch boxes. How about you? What’s your favourite thing to make in your Thermi?

This chocolate cake sounds delicious! My friend has a thermomix and I absolutely love it, I can see why they are so popular.

One thing I was wondering – are there a lot of parts to wash up or is it relatively straightforward?

Do you find it saves you a lot of time or is it more about the saving of effort?

Hi Louise, the great thing about the Thermomix is the way it has a self clean function. Simply cover the blades with water, add a drop of detergent, and hit turbo for 1-3 seconds. Then rinse.

The lid is in 2 parts, then the bowl/blade/base comes apart so you can easily fit all the parts in the dishwasher too.

      Thanks for commenting!
